Bosnia Inflation Rate Slows to Near 3-Year Low of 0.1%
Annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina decreased to 0.1% in October 2019 from 0.3% in the previous month. It was the lowest inflation since December 2016, as cost slowed for housing & utilities (1.4% from 1.9% in September); miscellaneous goods & services (0.2% from 0.7%) and education (0.2% from 0.5%). On the other hand, prices rose faster for food & non-alcoholic beverages (1.1% from 0.7%); recreation & culture (1.3% from 1.2%) and health (0.6% from 0.5%) while inflation was steady for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (at 6.0%) and restaurant & hotels (at 1.2%). Meantime, cost continued to fall for transport (-1.7% from -0.4%); furniture & household equipment (-0.3% from -0.1%); clothing & footwear (-10.8% from -10.0%) and communication (-0.3% from -0.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices advanced 0.8%, up from 0.5% in September.

Inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina stood at 0.3% year-on-year in September of 2019, unchanged from the previous month. Cost slowed for housing & utilities (1.9% vs 2.6% in August); education (0.5% vs 0.6%) and health (0.5% vs 0.7%) while it fell for transport (-0.4% vs 0.1%) and clothing & footwear (-10% vs -0.4%). At the same time, prices advanced faster for food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.7% vs 0.5%); recreation & culture (1.2% vs 0.9%); restaurants & hotels (1.2% vs 0.9%) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.0% vs 5.9%) while miscellaneous goods & services cost rebounded (0.7% vs -0.5%). In addition, prices fell at a softer pace for furniture & household equipment (-0.1% vs -0.4%) and communication (-0.5% vs -0.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.5%, after a 0.3% drop in August.

Cost slowed for food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.5 percent from 1.2 percent in July); housing & utilities (2.6 percent from 3.2 percent); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (5.9 percent from 6 percent) and education (0.6 percent from 0.7 percent). Meantime, inflation was steady for transport (at 0.1 percent) and health (at 0.7 percent) while prices advanced faster for both restaurant & hotels (0.9 percent from 0.7 percent) and recreation & culture (0.9 percent from 0.7 percent). On the other hand, cost continued to fall for clothing & footwear (-0.4 percent from -0.3 percent); furniture & household equipment (-0.4 percent from -0.7 percent); communication (-0.6 percent from -0.7 percent) and miscellaneous goods & services (-0.5 percent from -0.9 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went down 0.3 percent, after a 0.6 percent drop in July.

Annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina edged up to 0.5 percent in July of 2019 from 0.3 percent in the previous month. Cost advanced faster for food & non-alcoholic beverages (1.2 percent vs 1.1 percent in June); housing & utilities (3.2 percent vs 2.7 percent); transport (0.1 percent from a flat reading); restaurants & hotels (0.7 percent vs 0.6 percent) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.0 percent vs 3.8 percent). On the other hand, prices went up at a softer pace for recreation & culture (0.7 percent vs 1.6 percent) and health (0.7 percent vs 1.2 percent) while furniture & household equipment cost continued to fall (-0.7 percent vs -0.6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.6 percent, after decreasing 0.5 percent in the previous month.

Annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina eased to 0.3 percent in June of 2019, the lowest since January last year, from 0.8 percent in the previous month. Prices rose at slower pace for food & non-alcoholic beverages (1.1 percent vs 1.6 percent); housing & utilities (2.7 percent vs 3.4 percent); transport (a flat reading vs 1.5 percent) and restaurants & hotels (0.6 percent vs 0.7 percent) while cost continued to fall for clothing & footwear (-11.8 percent vs -10.9 percent) and for furniture & household equipment (-0.6 percent vs -0.3 percent). On the other hand, prices advanced faster for recreation & culture (1.6 percent vs 1.3 percent) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (3.8 percent vs 3.6 percent) while inflation was steady for health (at 1.2 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.5 percent, after increasing 0.2 percent in the previous month.

Prices slowed mainly for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (3.6% vs 3.9% in April); transport (1.5% vs 2.6%) and health (1.2% vs 1.9%) while continued to rise for food & non-alcoholic beverages (1.6% vs 1.1%); housing & utilities (3.4% vs 2.9%) and recreation & culture (1.3% vs 1.2%). On the other hand, cost fell for clothing & footwear (-10.9% vs -10.5%); miscellaneous goods & services (-0.3% vs -0.9%); furnishings (-0.3% vs -0.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.2 percent, after decreasing 0.3 percent in the previous month.
